I have shared with you a few crafts now from a review I did for Oriental Trading. Back for Valentine's Day we shared a free Valentine's Book mark printable and later shared DIY Painted Clothespins. I love Oriental Trading because there are so many great craft ideas for kids and adults. I wanted to do a craft for Easter and thought a DIY Painted Mason Jar Flower Vase would be perfect.
DIY Painted Mason Jar Flower Vase
Martha Stewart Crafts™ Pearl & Metallic Acrylic Paint Set
Quart Mason Jars
Flowers

Instructions
1. Paint your jar with Acrylic Paint. We started with a bright pink, but quickly decided a wanted a light pink. You will need multiple layers of paint. We used bright pink then white then light pink.
2. Fill Jar 2/3 full with glass beads. You can really use anything to fill it, but I liked how heavy the glass beads were because it held the flowers in place.
3. Choose flowers for your bouquet. I found it to be cheaper to buy a potted display and cut them out of it. We used 6 flowers per jar. (I did two jars)
4. Stick flowers into glass beads to hold them in place.
5. Display your flowers!
I decided to display my flowers on our fire place mantel. I loved the spring colors and thought it went well with our other easter decorations.
If you want to make your jar holiday specific, you can use your Cricut Machine to customize your jar. I used my machine to make the word "Easter" to add to my jar.
Happy Easter!
