I received the following items for review from Oriental Trading. All opinions are my own.
This time of year, moms and kids are working together to come up with the perfect valentine. My kids take this very seriously every year. It has to be perfect. It focuses on a hobby or talent of the child, and it can't be too mushy that they would be embarrassed to hand it out. This year, my daughter wanted to do a Valentine around reading. She loves to read and I knew that it would be perfect for her. We found these perfect Bookmarks at Oriental Trading. My kids decided they wanted to fancy them up some more, so we blinded them with paint and glitter.
Supplies
Black & White Flocked Bookmarks
Aleene's® Original Tacky Glue™
Bright Glitter
Martha Stewart Crafts™ Pearl & Metallic Acrylic Paint Set
My kids love to paint and craft so they were so excited to use their imagination on their Valentines. I loved how colorful and fun they turned out. Each one was very different. My favorite were the ones painted with the Martha Stewart Crafts™ Pearl & Metallic Acrylic Paint Set because they were a really fun, shiny color.
This is such a great craft for kids, because they love doing it, but it is super easy to do. All you need is your bookmark, paint, glitter, glue and a paint brush. They will be excited to have the freedom to create.
If you are interested in making this Valentine craft yourself, here is a free printable for you.
