Even though it is a few days after the Solo: A Star Wars Story World Premiere, I am still in shock that it happened and that I was there. The experience was exciting and one that checks off a bucket list item. I'm so grateful to be a part of a Star Wars event and that I have the opportunity to promote a fantastic movie. I have had the opportunity to walk the red carpet for Big Hero 6, Alice Through the Looking Glass, and Coco and the experience is amazing. Solo: A Star Wars Story was my first World Premiere and and energy and excitement was so much fun. Walking the red carpet at a Premiere is very fast paced and the security guards are constantly asking us to move on, but it is fun to try to go as slow as you can so you can look for celebrities. Being a Star Wars movie, there were a lot of fun people attending including the cast of the movie. We had the opportunity to see many of them on the red carpet as well as favorites like John Heder, Nathan Fillion and George Lucas. Here is a fun photo of many involved in making Solo: A Star Wars Story in front of the Millenium Falcon and a fun one of Chewbacca on the red carpet.
The Solo: A Star Wars Story World Premiere red carpet was one of the longest that I have been on. They are good at having lots of areas on the red carpet for photo opportunities. This helps things move faster as well as give us lots of photographic memories for the experience. It started outdoors with the Millenium Falcom, featured above, and then went indoors as shown below. You can see in the left of the photo where pictures can be taken with the Solo backdrop and the right had side is where the Press does interviews with the Actors. Here are some fun photos from the red carpet.
Immediately after the red carpet, we went to the Dolby Theater to watch the World Premiere screening of Solo: A Star Wars Story. This was pretty exciting because we were the first ones to see the movie. The Dolby theater is huge and absolutely beautiful. It was a neat place for a movie screening. I had the opportunity to sit in the third row and watch the movie with most of the Actors within a few rows behind me. Being at a screening with the actors and their family is always a lot of fun because when they actor comes up on the screen for the first time, there is always a lot of cheering in the theater. The movie was amazing. I will share my review with you at a later time.
After seeing the movie, we immediately went upstairs to the Dolby Ballroom for the Solo: A Star Wars Story after party. The ballroom is very large and filled with tons of people. There was a DJ was there playing music, photo opportunities, and lots of fun. A majority of the creators and actors in the movie were also there to celebration the completion of this movie. We spent a few hours hanging out at the after party and even had the opportunity to meet some of the actors. I was able to meet Mark Hamill, Ron Howard and Alden Ehrenreich. Here are some photos from the evening.
An opportunity like this is amazing and a lot of fun! It was fun to be able to attend this event with 24 of my favorite bloggers. By the end of the night, my feet hurt and I was exhausted but it was worth every second. SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY opens in theaters everywhere on May 25th and I highly recommend that you take your entire family. It is a fantastic Star Wars film and one that your kids will love to watch with you. Thank you Lucas Film and Disney for this amazing opportunity!
