If you ever have the opportunity to watch a movie in the Dolby Theater, I highly recommend it. It was breathtaking walking into the movie and taking in the grandness of the theater. If you read my Solo Red Carpet Experience post, then you'll remember that we had the opportunity to screen Solo: A Star Wars Story at this theater. It was a special experience being able to watch the movie with the actors in the room because you could hear the excitement of their family members when each actor came on screen. Solo: A Star Wars Story will be in theaters May 25th and I highly recommend pre-ordering your tickets and seeing it opening weekend. If your Facebook feed is anything like mine, the spoilers start coming out after opening weekend and you definitely want to watch early so you can avoid those! This movie review is going to be spoiler free because I want you to be excited when you watch the movie. If you are unfamiliar with this movie, here is a little more information about it:

Solo: A Star Wars Story Movie Review

Alden Ehrenreich is Han Solo in SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY.
If you are a Star Wars fan, I am sure that your biggest concern about Solo: A Star Wars Story is whether the young Han Solo can live up to the performance of Harrison Ford and "FEEL" like Han Solo. We have watched the trailer again and again as a family, but often we stopped to analyze Alden's Young Han Solo performance, wondering why he portrayed the character how he did. I'm going to do my best to keep this post non-spoiler, but I would like to say that I REALLY feel that the story, and performance fits and makes sense to why he would become the Harrison Ford version of Han Solo. The movie does a great job building future story lines as well as feeling like the characters fit in both places. Alden Ehrenreich does a fantastic job in making this film and I think you will be happy with the performance.

Alden Ehrenreich is Han Solo and Joonas Suotamo is Chewbacca in SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY.
Who doesn't love Chewbacca? Really, maybe we need Chewbacca: A Star Wars Story because I could really enjoy seeing more of him! I might need to brush up on my Wookie skills before watching that movie, though. 🙂 The only thing better that see Han Solo and his co-pilot Chewbacca flying in the Millenium Falcon is me and Chewie in the Falcon.... because really-- this photo is just too fun not to share! I feel right at home.

Donald Glover is Lando Calrissian in SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY.
Who else was excited when you found at that Donald Glover was going to be Lando! Perfect casting choice-- we are still waiting for the Lando movie. You are going to love him in Solo: A Star Wars Story. He does a fantastic job. The moment that he is first on screen to the moment the movie ends, his performance top notch. His character is a lot of fun and they really did a great job with his story line. His character adds a lot to the movie and helps make it the great movie that it is.

Joonas Suotamo is Chewbacca, Woody Harrelson is Beckett and Alden Ehrenreich is Han Solo in SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY.
There are so many great new characters that you will be introduced to in this movie. Beckett, Qi'ra, L3 and more help bring the story together. The story line is a lot of fun and each character does a great job of bringing humor, adventure and even some love into the movie. I love Star Wars movies because they truly are the perfect family friendly film. They do a great job at keeping it fun and adventurous, while also keeping it clean so we can be excited about taking our kids. There are many beautiful themes shown in this movie of family, love, trust and sacrifice. I love that they stayed true to Star Wars while having the opportunity to further develop some of our favorite characters. Having grown up with Star Wars, it is so important to me to be able to share these movies with my kids. We will be there opening weekend watching Solo: A Star Wars Story.
