I loved the Disney Christopher Robin movie. I am a child of the 80's so Winnie the Pooh and Friends have been a part of my entire life. I have loved introducing these characters to my kids and having them be an equally important part in their lives. We have enjoyed the Winnie the Pooh movies again and again in our home so I was very excited to hear about Christopher Robin. Christopher Robin was such an important part of the Winnie the Pooh story, so it made perfect sense that they would one day get back together. In our recent interview with Jim Cummings, he mentioned how thrilled he was to be able to see Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh together again. Disney Christopher Robin is a story of sacrifice, love and the importance of family.

In this movie, Christopher Robin is now an adult. He has a family and a job and Winnie the Pooh isn't a part of his life beyond a few childhood drawings. In Christopher Robin, we learn with an overworked, overstressed Christopher Robin the importance of doing nothing. The importance of taking a step back and remembering what is most important in your life. This always leads back to family and remembering that the relationships we build in the home (or at the 100 acre woods) are the most important. You will leave this movie hugging your kids and creating more time for them on your to do lists.

You can't have a Winnie the Pooh story without having a story of love. I think that the Winnie the Pooh characters embody the essence of loving others. Their story has so much heart and Christopher Robin is not different. You will love following their adventures as Winnie the Pooh and friends have the chance to bring love back into the hearts of everyone they meet. I love the moment you first hear Winnie the Poohs voice on screen on how happy you immediately feel.

I think one of the hardest lessons to learn as a parent is to re-evaluate your time and energy to what is important. It is so easy to get caught up in the stress and busyness of life when suddenly you realize that life is moving fast and your family is growing up quick. Sometimes setting your priorities straight requires change and sacrifice. You definitely feel motivated to fix your priorities when you feel the heart of this film. This movie is perfect for the entire family. Everyone from kids to adult will love another adventure with Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin. There are great lessons to be learned and the story is full of heart.

The special features are often my favorite part of getting a new movie. I love learning about the behind the scenes of making a movie because there is SO much that goes into it from start to finish. For example, did you know that Jim Cummings voiced all of the Winnie the Pooh parts and then had to go back and do it all over again for Tigger? It really is fascinating to see how a movie is made.
