Loaf of banana bread recipe with one slice partly removed, with the text "better for you banana bread.

This Banana Bread is SO good. I finally made a Banana Bread that is "Better for You" but tastes like its not. The only problem is, that it tastes so good, that I can't stop eating it. But I guess that would be more of a problem if they weren't better for you. 🙂  I love Banana Bread but I am very picky with it. I like my banana bread to taste like bananas. There is so often that it tastes really good, but it just doesn't taste like bananas but more like sugar. That is why I add 10 bananas to my recipe. Yep, you heard that right. TEN. I really think that its because of the 10 bananas that this recipes works as a Better for you recipe.

Banana Bread Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Splenda No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
1/2 cup Splenda Brown Sugar Blend
1/4 cup Softened Butter
1/2 cup applesauce
10 mashed bananas
4 Eggs
1 t. vanilla
2½ cups Flour
2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp salt

 Directions

1. Mix mashed Bananas and sugars until well blended.
2. Add vanilla, softened butter, applesauce  and eggs and mix.
3. Stir in dry ingredients.
4. Pour mixture in pan sprayed with cooking spray.
5. Bake loaf at 350 degrees for 50 minutes and muffins for 15 minutes. As always, oven temperatures vary so you may need to give or take a few minutes. Test with fork to see if it is done. This recipe made 2 loaves and 12 muffins.

I know that your first instinct when you see Splenda is that you don't even want to try it. TRY IT! 🙂 I promise you won't regret it. Like I said above, the 10 bananas bring so much flavor into this that you can't taste the splenda. Instead, you get amazing banana bread that is better for you because of a no- calorie sweetener.
