Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl with an electric mixer, cream together butter, brown sugar, and sugar on medium speed until light and creamy, about 2 minutes.
Add eggs, vanilla, and molasses and mix until well combined.
In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, cloves,
nutmeg, and oats.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. The dough will be thick
and may need to be mixed by hand at the end.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets.
Cook 10 minutes, until cookies are golden around the edge.
Cool on cookie sheet 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
While the cookies are cooling, prepare the Crème Pie Frosting.
Spread 1 to 2 tablespoons Crème Pie Frosting on the flat side of a cookie and top with another cookie, flat side down.
Repeat to fill remaining cookies.
