How to Make Shaped Crayons from Old Crayons

Give broken crayons new life! Super simple, fun for all ages, makes coloring extra creative.

Supplies

Old Crayons (Remove those pesky paper wrappers) – Silicone Molds (Find a variety at craft stores or online) – Oven or MicrowaveKnife or Scissors

Gather Your Supplies: Find your old crayons, peel off those pesky paper wrappers, and grab your silicone molds. Preheat your oven to 250°F (or get a microwave-safe dish ready).

Sort and Chop:  Decide on your color combos and break those crayons into smaller pieces. This makes them melt faster!

Get Creative!: Fill your molds with fun color mixes and patterns. You can even try layering for a cool rainbow effect.

Melt Time! Oven: Pop your filled molds in for about 10-15 minutes. Microwave: Heat for 1-2 minutes. Just keep a close eye on them to make sure they don't burn.

Cool Down: Once everything's completely melted, take your molds out and let them cool for at least an hour.  They need to be totally solid before you pop them out.
