How to boil Easter eggs without Cracking

Easter is almost here, and that means it's time to start thinking about those vibrantly colored Easter eggs!

INGREDIENTS

– Eggs (older eggs are easier to peel!) – Water – 1 teaspoon vinegar or salt (optional)

Take eggs out of the fridge 30 minutes before cooking to bring them closer to room temperature.

Place eggs in a single layer in a medium saucepan. Cover with enough cold water to have at least an inch of water above the eggs.

Add a teaspoon of vinegar or salt to the water (this helps prevent cracking).

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the water to a gentle boil.

Carefully drain hot water. Use a slotted spoon to transfer eggs to a large bowl filled with ice water. Let cool completely.
