I received a Target gift card to purchase LISTERINE® Brand products from Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Products Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc. and The Motherhood as part of my participation in the LISTERINE® 21-Day Challenge. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are my own.

I can’t believe that I am already there.  Day 21! You may remember, a few weeks back I announced that I will be participating in the Listerine 21-Day Challenge. My teeth are healthier today than they were 21 days ago.  That is pretty awesome.  It was nice taking a focused look at my oral hygiene and making sure that I was as religious as possible in taking care of my teeth.  Where teeth are ALWAYS important, having braces, I especially want to stay on top of my oral hygiene so I can keep them as clean as possible.

If you remember, here is the product that I have used the last few weeks. My kids joined in on the fun and use the toothpaste as well as the Listerine Smart Rinse.

We were also sent a tube of Listerine Whitening as part of the test.  We were asked to use this product morning and night for 21 days and see how our oral health improved.   My favorite product was the Whitening toothpaste, but I always loved following it up with a rinse because my mouth tasted clean.  It I felt good knowing that it tasted cleaner was because it was cleaner!

I did a near perfect job at brushing and rinsing every morning and night (and after lunch).  It is a habit that is important to me and one that I want to make sure my kids have.  Doing this with them was nice, because it put them in better habits than they previously were.  Plus, they loved rinsing with the cool Avengers Smart Rinse! 🙂  Here is what I was NOT so good at.  (hangs head in shame). Flossing.  I don’t know why its so hard to remember to floss, but I always seem to move on without it.  I think I need to write “DONT FORGET TO FLOSS” across my mirror so it gets done.  This is definitely something I need to help my kids get in the better habit of.

Here are some tips that help us develop the habit of Oral Health

Be Consistent-  Consistency is the easiest way to built habits
Learn- Learn about the way, helps us to be more regular.  If we know why its good for our teeth, its easier to get the kids to do it.
Start Early- Get kids in the habit early!
Visit the Dentist regularly! 🙂

These tips worked great for our family.  I would love to hear what works for yours!
Here is my “Swish Selfie.”  Adorable, I know!  Nothing like a start of the morning, non make-up, hair pulled back- Swish! 🙂

Don’t forget that for every person who posts a “Swish Selfie” to LISTERINE® Brand’s Facebook page, LISTERINE®Brand will make a $5.00 contribution to Oral Health America’s Smiles Across America® program, up to $85,000, toward their goal of connecting 210,000 children with needed oral health services in 2014.
