A little about Glee Gum

Glee Gum is completely all-natural, with no preservatives, artificial flavorings, or colorings. Also, it is the only gum on the market which contains chicle in its gum base. And using chicle helps sustain the rainforest!

A little about Glee Gum’s Make Your own Kits

Connect kids to the global community by tracing the origins of raw materials we encounter in our daily lives. Our gum kit uses natural chicle. Our chocolate kit includes organic cocoa butter from Costa Rica, and the gummy kit contains carrageenan made from seaweed from the Philippines.

Create something exciting and delicious. At Verve, we believe people learn by doing. By creating delicious edible treats with our kits, kids also create connections to each other, between various fields of studies, and to other communities and cultures.

Captivate kids’ interest. Kids have always loved to stir, mix, touch and taste our great activity kits. Now children can make yummy treats while learning about: the rainforest, ethnobotany, chemistry, mathematics and measurement, ecology and environmental issues, home economics, nutrition, the oceans and more!

I had the great opportunity to review their Make your own Chocolate Kit. I was very excited to do this review, because personally I love chocolate! More importantly, though, I was excited because this was a review that I could do with my kids. I love being able to involve them in what I am doing. My kids love working in the kitchen with me so this was a perfect opportunity. This kit is awesome! We really liked being able to review it. Here is what they say about the Chocolate Making Kit on their site:

It’s Easy & Fun To Make Your Own Chocolate From Scratch!

Mixing elements of chemistry with world culture and history, this delicious kit contains everything you’ll need to make 8 ounces of dark chocolate. Can be made on the stove or with a microwave – adult supervision is recommended! Great for class room activities, scout troops, birthday parties, home school, or after school. Makes a great gift for kids (ages 8 & up)!

Inside each Make Your Own Chocolate Kits you’ll find: organic cocoa butter, cocoa powder, confectioner’s sugar, starter crystals, a temperature indicator, paper candy liners, instructions, and the story of chocolate.

All you have to do is melt the cocoa butter, add the cocoa powder and sugar. Stir, stir, stir until it cools to the right temperature; add the starter crystals so that the chocolate “tempers,” and enjoy delicious home-made chocolate from scratch! By the way, you also get some cacao beans – we thought you might like to taste a few.

Each Chocolate Kit Makes 8 oz. of dark chocolate!

I had no idea that it was so easy to make chocolate! In this kit, we received everything that we needed to be able to make delicious chocolate. The instructions are very easy to understand that my five year old daughter was able to do all of the steps. In probably only about 30 minutes, we went from all the ingredients in the box to trying our delicious tasting chocolate. My kids had fun licking the spoons while the chocolate was in the fridge.

I thought it was kind of neat, that they include two cocoa beans with your kit. This allows you to let the kids see where chocolate comes from at the earliest form. I let me kids try the cocoa bean and they were surprised that something that tasted so gross could eventually taste so yummy. It was a great educational moment with them.

I think that the Glee Gum Make your Own kits would make a really fun gift for kids. It is something that is easy to do, a lot of fun, and tastes good! What kid wouldn’t love that! I know that mine did. I highly recommend Glee Gum for their Make your own Chocolate Kit. It was easy to do and the taste was great. Plus, their company is all-natural and eco-friendly!

I was also able to try some samples of their glee gum. My kids are gum lovers so they were excited to try it. They have lots of great flavor choices! We really like it a lot. My favorite was the cinnamon gum.”Glee Gum is all natural chewing gum made with sustainably harvested rainforest chicle. It comes in SIX great flavors: cinnamon, peppermint, tangerine, bubblegum, spearmint, and triple berry. Glee Gum is the #1 healthy alternative to synthetic chewing gum and bubble gum! With no artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners (no aspartame), or preservatives, it’s easy to chew Glee-fully!”
