I received Disney’s Frozen on Blu-ray for review. All opinions are my own.
I’m sure that you have seen Frozen by now. If not 20 times. 🙂 If you haven’t had a chance to see the film, you are most likely familiar with it because of the 30 million you-tube videos that have been made because of this movie. I know that there were many people who were annoyed with the mass amounts of you-tube videos and re-makes of songs, but I find this a sign of a good movie. If a movie wasn’t memorable, people wouldn’t bother to take the time to make their own take on a song. Even more, “Let it Go”, winning an Oscar for best song and Frozen winning for best animated feature, speaks volumes. From the first time that we have saw the movie in theaters, we were hooked. My kids quickly learned the songs and they sang them often.
“Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind “Tangled” and “Wreck-It Ralph,” presents “Frozen,” a stunning big-screen comedy adventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.”
I love this movie for many reasons. I love that this movie was not the typical disney “love story”. I love Disney movies and I love the romance, relationships and storyline but it was very refreshing to have a story that focused on sisterhood and family. From the moment the movie started the movie had so much heart and emotion. I love that this movie is filled with joy, laughter, sadness, adventure and fun. All things that make it a perfect family friendly film that both my sons and daughters loved.
Olaf very quickly became a favorite in our home. My kids loved him because he was super adorable, very fun and kept you laughing. They especially loved the summer song and sing it often. Olaf has a character really represents friendship and sacrifice. One of my favorite seems in the movie is from the photo above when Olaf tells Anna that some people are worth melting for.
Not only are the character lovable, the storyline refreshing, the animation and character design is beautiful but the music and score is incredible. The whole movie watching experience is so wonderful and we enjoy watching this film again and again as a family.
