Pirate Fairy Box Art

I had the opportunity to see a pre-screening of Disney The Pirate Fairy while I was in Los Angeles.  I have always been a fan of tinker bell movies so I was really looking forward to seeing The Pirate Fairy.  I really loved the movie at the screening and was so excited for my kids to get to see it.  They were very jealous that I had seen it, and were literally counting down the days until they got a chance to watch it.  When we finally received it in the mail, we had to stop everything we were doing and have a movie night.

The Pirate Fairy is really fun because you have all of your favorite fairies but you also get introduced to new characters that you will fall in love with.  Others naturally, that you won’t. 🙂  This movie is full of adventure, surprises, MUSIC and fun! Meet Zarina.  I think she is such an adorable fairy and I love her Pirate costume!  You will love learning more about her in this movie and seeing how she became a Pirate!

Another new character that you are sure to love is Crocky.  He is simply adorable and heard not to fall in love with.  Cool fact, John Lasseter was highly influential in the design of crocky.  His design was made to be toddler like and adorable.  I think they nailed it.  He has an important part in the Pirate Fairy movie and yours kids will love him.  He is my sons favorite character. Make sure at check out the special features for an adorable “Croc-u-mentary” all about Crocky.

Did I mention that there are pirates? PIRATES!  I remember when I first found out about this movie, I was so excited for it because Pirates are just awesome.  The best part, is that Pirates single handedly made it a movie that both my girls AND my boys LOVED!  It is the perfect amount of adventure, fun, and pixie dust that kids and adults of all ages will love it.

Remember I mentioned above about music?  One of my favorite pirate scenes includes  a fun pirate tune!  Pirate Fairy is really a fun film that might just be my favorite Tinkerbell movie made yet!  Don’t forget to take a moment to watch the special features when you are finished watching the movie.  There you will find Deleted Scenes, Sing-
Alongs, and making of’s that take you behind the scenes of the movie.

From the world of “Peter Pan” comes “The Pirate Fairy,” a swashbuckling new adventure about Zarina (voice of Christina Hendricks), a smart and ambitious dust-keeper fairy who’s captivated by Blue Pixie Dust and its endless possibilities. When Zarina’s wild ideas get her into trouble, she flees Pixie Hollow and joins forces with the schemingpirates of Skull Rock, who make her captain of their ship. Tinker Bell (voice of Mae Whitman) and her friends must embark on an epic adventure to find Zarina, and together they go sword-to-sword with the band of pirates led by a cabin boy named James (voice of Tom Hiddleston), who’ll soon be known as Captain Hook himself. With laughter, heart, magic and thrills, “The Pirate Fairy” sets sail April 1, 2014.
