I received the same prize pack in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.
I loved the original Annie as a kid. I have all the songs memorized and can recite many of the movie lines. It is such an adorable heart warming story and I was so excited to hear that it was going to be remade with so many of my favorite actors and actresses. My daughter has been counting down the days until the movie comes out. I love that I will be able to share a movie of my childhood with my daughter. Annie is in theaters on December 19th. That is the day my kids get out of school for the holiday break so they have already planned that we will be seeing Annie. Make sure and visit Scholastic Annie activity sheets, videos, reading lists and more.
“Annie is a young, happy foster kid who’s also tough enough to make her way on the streets of New York in 2014. Originally left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they’d be back for her someday, it’s been a hard knock life ever since with her mean foster mom Miss Hannigan. But everything’s about to change when the hard-nosed tycoon and New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks makes a thinly-veiled campaign move and takes her in.”
