One of my favorite things about my kids going back to school is my “me time” During the summer, we have so much fun. We go swimming, on picnics, have family bbq’s, reunions, swim meets, baseball games and so much more that I feel like we are on the go ALL THE TIME. This is completely fine. I love every minute of summer. I love making family memories, watching my kids explore and having fun. Every minute of it is cherished and exciting. But I miss my “me time.”
This year, my youngest daughter enters pre-k. My oldest three are all in full day school. This means that every Monday, Wednesday and Friday I have three glorious hours of “me time”. I already know what I am going to do during this time. I have a stack of books that I have been wanting to read. I am going to do my own Back to School Reading. My mom reads a lot and she recommended a few titles of books that I was able to find on ThriftBooks.com. Can I just tell you the best thing about this? If you love to read, visit Thrift Books because you can find so many amazing titles (7 million books to be exact) and incredibly low prices. I love getting a deal, and I love collecting books so I was so excited to discover Thrift Books. Because Thrift Books sells used books, you can find some of the lowest everyday price on the internet.
While searching Thrift Books, I found five great books that I really wanted to read. The books I chose were Book of a Thousand Days, Still Alice, The Forgotten Garden, The Secret Keeper: A Novel and Dangerous. Because my order was over $10 my shipping was FREE! When you order your books you are able to choose the quality you are interested in. All the books that I chose were Good to Very good condition. Now all I have to do is decide which one I am going to read first! I am a pretty fast reader so I am sure that I will be able to get through all of my Back to school reading pretty quick.
For more information about Thrift Books you can visit them online. I recommend signing up for their Reading Rewards program while you are there where for no annual fee you are rewarded with a $5 coupon for every $50 you spend on books.
