To say that I am excited for the Strange Magic Event is an understatement. I have been blessed with the opportunity to attend a few Disney events but was so excited to receive the invite for the opportunity to attend the Strange Magic and Pixar event. Visiting both Pixar and Skywalker Ranch were items that never made it to bucket list because they never seemed like they would be a possibility! My bucket list is for the items that seem realistic! I am excited to write these items in! 🙂 I look forward to hearing the behind the scenes from both Touchstone Pictures’ Strange Magic and Pixar’s Inside Out at two amazing locations. I will be attending this event with 24 bloggers.
I am looking forward to watching a screening of Strange Magic. I love A Midsummer Night’s dream so I am interested in seeing this film. The trailer looks like it will be very adventurous, beautiful to look at and filled with some fun music! I am excited to share my review with you after seeing the movie.
About Strange Magic
“Strange Magic,” a new animated film from Lucasfilm Ltd., is a madcap fairy tale musical inspired by “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Popular songs from the past six decades help tell the tale of a colorful cast of goblins, elves, fairies and imps, and their hilarious misadventures sparked by the battle over a powerful potion.”
The screening of Strange Magic will take place at the most amazing Skywalker Ranch (Ah-may-zing!). I am perfectly happy to leave freezing cold Utah to visit this absolutely stunning place. I may never go home. 🙂 I don’t think they will mind if I move in. I mean, who wouldn’t want to live somewhere that amazing. Okay, okay…. I’m going to have to be content visiting! While at Skywalker Ranch, I will be receiving a tour of the Main house as well as the outside grounds. (my husband is SO jealous)
While at Skywalker ranch, we will also have the opportunity to interview Director and 7 time Academy Award® winner Gary Rydstrom and Elijah Kelley (“Hairspray,” “Red Tails,” “Lee Daniels’ The Butler”) who voices Sunny in the film. The interviews are always my favorite part because you get the behind the scenes look from the people who are most connected to the film. This always makes me enjoy the movie even more because you are able to see it from the eyes of the creators.
If you are not yet familiar with Strange Magic, here is the trailer:
STRANGE MAGIC opens in theaters everywhere on January 23rd!
The fun continues with our visit to Pixar Animation Studios. I get really excited just typing those words, because I GET TO GO TO PIXAR ANIMATION STUDIOS. So, so exciting. While at Pixar Animation Studios, I will be attending an INSIDE OUT presentation with Director Pete Docter and Producer Jonas Rivera and LAVA screening and Q&A with Director James Ford Murphy and Producer Andrea Warren.
I am really looking forward to this movie. Unfortunately, I have to wait all the way until June 19th to see it! I highly appreciate that all of these emotions are fun colored and sparkly. Doesn’t matter the emotion- they still have their sparkle. That is exactly how I imagine my emotions to look like. This movie looks like a really fun look at the differences between guys and girls and our emotions. Right now my emotion looks like “Joy!” What does yours look like? My husband said that his would be “jealousy”. 🙂
About Inside Out
“Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.”
INSIDE OUT opens in theaters everywhere on June 19, 2015!
